Quilt Show!

I just got back from my very first quilt show! I’m telling you if you have never been to one you should! They are full of inspiration. They have quilts from the entire spectrum: vintage, traditional, modern, modern traditionalism, and more.

I wanted to share some pictures I took. Some of my favorite quilts didn’t get to be photographed because I didn’t realize you could take pictures and then my phone I was using died :/

With out further adieu…

Quilt shows are also great places to shop! I purchased some really cool things from three vendors that I never would have seen if I didn’t go!

I bought Machingers and a machine quilting skillbuilder panel! I’m really excited to make the panel into a sandwich to practice my FMQ!

Then I bought a bunch of fat quarters and 1/2 yard cuts. I love the low volume blenders and I couldn’t stop eyeing that adorable stripe with hearts! The low volumes are from Red Rooster, Dear Stella and Henry Glass. No information on the other selvages.

Then I came across Amelia’s Garden booth; she is an online quilt shop and she stocks beautiful fabrics: Sarah Jane, Amy Butler, Joel Dewberry and more! I tried to hold some restraint when purchasing because I really wanted to buy everything she had! She also convinced me to try out Aurifil thread.

The quilt show I attended is going on for one more day! If you are in the Pioneer Valley/Berkshires/UMass Amherst area you must check it out! Hands All Around quilt show at UMass Amherst April 6th to 7th from 10am to 4pm!
